Marion Leon Wills

M. Leon Wills 85, Indianapolis, passed away on August 16, 2011. He was born on January 6, 1926 in Indianapolis. Leon graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1944. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and served in WWII. Leon was a typesetter for A1 Letter Shop, retiring in 1988. He had been a member of the Emerson Avenue Baptist Church for over 62 years. Survivors who will miss him include his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Betty Payne) of Indianapolis; children, Donna Wills of Indianapolis, Doug (wife, Beth) Wills of Greenfield and Dave (wife, Debbie) Wills of Fishers; four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Leon is preceded in death by his mother, sister and brother. Services for Leon will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 18. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emerson Avenue Baptist Church.
