Mariol Bauer Luddy (93) passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023. Mariol was forever in love and joined her husband Robert Luddy who passed away in 1991. Mariol also joins her brother Frederick Bauer and sister Betty Aeschliman who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her children Frederic (Adriana) Luddy, Thomas (Heather) Luddy, Laura Pierce, Robert (Linda) Luddy Jr. as well as 7 grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister’s children (Linda, Karen, Charlie and Susie) who she deeply loved and cared for.
Mariol was an avid volunteer all her life whether with her Sorority, Delta Gamma; her church, St. Elizabeth Seton or the holiday drive at Woodland Country Club, she was always there with a warm smile to help. She especially loved volunteering with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and spent many hours ushering at the Hilbert Theater, Conner Prairie and the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. She always wanted to work the same locations so she got to know the patrons and they began to call her their friend and even invite her to join them as their guest. Mariol never met anyone that she did not want to know better and made it a point to have them as a friend. Her quality of being a friend was evident when over 100 individuals showed up for her 90th birthday.
Whether we called her Mom, Gram, Aunt Mariol or Friend she will be dearly missed.
