Marilynn Qualkenbush

Marilynn Junetta (Hall) Qualkenbush,
83 years old, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, after a brief battle with colon cancer. She was born February 20, 1934 in Orleans, Indiana to Harold and Nora Jean (Brock) Hall. She married the love of her life, Ernest Lee Qualkenbush in 1955 on July 23.

Marilynn enjoyed her career as a cafeteria employee at Decatur Central Junior High, where she made many lifelong friends. She retired in 1983. As retirees, Marilynn and her husband, Ernest, enjoyed travelling the country. They frequently travelled to Florida with friends for Ernest to play golf. For the last 25 years they enjoyed the winter months in Arizona.

Marilynn is preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and her loving granddaughter, Jessica Qualkenbush.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernest Lee Qualkenbush; her children, Michael Qualkenbush, Debra Qualkenbush (Kathy), and Richard Qualkenbush; brothers, Wayne (the late Charlene) Hall and Max (Rowena) Hall.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. A Memorial Gathering will begin at 6 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan –Decatur 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, 46221.
