Marilyn S. Johnson, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away June 5,2016 at her home after a brief illness. She was born March 15, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the lateRayman O. and Evelyn G. (Henschen) Snider. Marilyn graduated from Thomas Howe High School in 1955 and retired fromthe State of Indiana where she was a manager in Information Services. She had also worked for ITT Publishing for 20years. She was a 4H leader in BooneCounty for the Dog Project and trained and showed dogs. She was Past President of Indiana Whips andWheels and was currently treasurer. Shemarried Ladd J. Howson in 1956, that marriage ended in divorce in 1981, hepreceded her in death in 2003. Shemarried Eugene D. Johnson in 1982 and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Marilyn is survived by her children; James L. Howson (Debra)
of Greenwood, IN; Sandra L. Wire (Richard) of Lebanon, IN; step children, Linda
Copeland-Bohnert (Chris) of Greenwood, IN and Thomas Johnson (Okel) of
Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Jacob C. Howson and Alexandria R. Eddelman;
great-grandchildren, William, Emerald, Eleanor and Ashton; 2 brothers, Rayman
W. Snider of Cloverdale and Richard E. Snider of Coatsville; several nieces and
nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 12,2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St.,Indianapolis, IN 46229. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Whips andWheels, Inc., in care of Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park.
