Marilyn S. Herald, 80 of Indianapolis, passed away on January 6, 2018. She was born on June 28, 1937 in Indianapolis, to Howard and Pearl Callahan.

Marilyn enjoyed reading novels and working puzzles. She enjoyed eating Chinese food. She also had a passion for exotic cats and her dog, Toby. Marilyn loved spending time with her family and socializing with friends.

She is preceded in passing by her parents; her brother, Wayne Callahan; and her sister, Pat Callahan Widdifield.

She is survived by her children, Pam (Allen) Nichols, Susan (Scott) Harmon, and Kevin (Leici) Arbuckle; her grandchildren, Scott Glass, Tiffany (Shaun) Martinez, Josh (Sarah) Nichols, Jeff (Mary) Arbuckle Rachel Goings, Tim Arbuckle, Seth Yelner, Stacey (Dustin) Weir, and Calyssa Yelner; and her great grandchildren, Jaryn Benson, Ethan Nichols, Destiny Benson, Makayla Nichols, Cadence Glass, Kalaisia Martinez, Reagan Goings, Lincoln Ross, and Shaun Martinez Jr.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway, 2950 N. High School Rd. The service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway. Burial will take place at Washington Park North Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
