Marilyn R. Dollens

Marilyn R. Dollens, 79 of Sheridan, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. Marilyn was born October 7, 1936 in Tipton, IN to the late Gilbert and Hazel Bess. She worked as a nurse for 43 years, retiring from St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis in 2013.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 18 at Union Friends Church, of which she was a member. Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, December 17 at Union Friends Church.

Marilyn was the widow of Lawrence V. Sonny Dollens. She is survived by her children, Ruth Dollens, Cheryl Dollens, Rebecca Dollens, Larry (Ruth) Dollens, Duane (Paula) Dollens, Steve (Donna, dec.) Dollens, David (Denise) Dollens, Raechel Dollens, Deborah (Joel) Watson, Gloria (Jerry) Pence, Joy Ramirez, Timothy (Kathy) Dollens and Jonathan (Bobbi) Dollens; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Gwen) Bess and Adrian (Mae) Bess; many nieces & nephews and other extended family members. A son, Ricky A. Dollens and a daughter, Carla Williams, preceded her in death.
