Marilyn Lozier

Marilyn Joan Gerber Lozier 86, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Marilyn was born on December 1, 1928 in Clay City, Indiana and graduated as Valedictorian from the Clay City High School class of 1946. She worked for Indiana Bell in the accounting department prior to raising her family, later retiring from Hook's Drugs in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Vivian Gerber, sisters, Lois Jean Snyder and Phyllis Holechko, brothers, William Gerber and Don Gerber and the love of her life, her husband Thomas B. Lozier, a veteran of WWII. Marilyn was a 49-year member of Pleasant View Lutheran Church where she served on the Church Council, chaired numerous committees, and was a member of the quilters group. Marilyn is survived by her son, Dr. Jay Lozier (Dr. Mary Lou McMaster) of Olney, Maryland and three grandchildren, Adele, John and Sarah Lozier of Olney, Maryland and her daughter, Jayne Thinnes (Kris) of Fishers, Indiana. The family would like to thank The Hearth at Windermere for the excellent care Marilyn received as a resident there. Services will be held Friday, September 25th, at 11:00 am at Pleasant View Lutheran Church, 801 W. 73rd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Visitation will be Thursday, September 24th, from 4-8 pm, also at the church. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Services entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple.
