Marilyn Kay Botzum, 67, of Speedway, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was born on November 21, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Sydney Botzum and Loyce Allene (Stamm) Powers. Marilyn graduated from George Washington High School in 1961 and worked as a shipping clerk for Associated Medical. She was also a member of the Brownsburg Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed doing puzzles. Marilyn is survived by her siblings, Dr. Gerald D. (Louise), Allene R. (Jerry), Michael E. (Annette), Cheri Y. (Wayne); along with several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Ronald Bates. Funeral Services for Marilyn will be held at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10am. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 3 until 7pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
