Marilyn J Durnil, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday Aug. 27th after a long, 20 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born April 15th, 1933, in Anderson, IN.
Marilyn attended Indianapolis Public school and graduated from Thomas Carr Howe high in 1951.
She met her husband of 69 years, Allen Durnil, at the Ellenburger Pool. She was a homemaker for many years; then became an employee of Warren Township Assessor and retired in 2001 after 31 years.
She was the beloved wife of Allen; and loving mother of Mark and Todd Durnil, C Lynn Blake and Lisa Foster.
Marilyn was a grandmother of Courtney McCorkle, Whitney Rainbolt, J. Bradley Durnil, Richard Foster, Grant Durnil, and Mitchell Durnil; great-grandmother to Bain, Fiest, and Mello.
Visitation will be at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, Thursday, September 2nd, 12-2pm; Funeral will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
