Marilyn Jo Elzie, 90, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2026. She was born on September 13, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Harry and Mabel Marshall.

On May 1, 1954, Marilyn married the love of her life, Robert A. Elzie, spending a loving 49 years together before his passing on April 17, 2004. Together they had 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. 

Marilyn shared a passion for golf with her husband, a bond that brought joy and companionship throughout their years together. Her dedication to her family was evident in the importance she placed on visits with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored so very much. These gatherings were the highlights of her days, filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.

Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her late husband, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
