Marianne Thompson Franklin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 19, 1937, to Rolla and Sylvia Thompson. She was the youngest and the only girl of 10 children. She attended Warren Central and was a member of the Class of 1956. She also attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Marianne loved the Lord and was devoted to the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, thrifting and was an ace at Scrabble.
She is survived by her children: Dan and his wife Becky Franklin, Diane Franklin Carter, and Joy Franklin, as well as three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Don Thompson and his wife, Dee, of Ocala, Florida.
The family will receive visitors at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park on Saturday March 7th, from 10-1pm. Funeral service will follow at 1pm. She will be laid to rest following the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering to celebrate Marianne's life will take place in the Spring.
