We said farewell on July 27th to a loving and adventurous soul. Margit Mary Osri Arnold is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Earl Arnold, her two sons, Mark and Michael (Monica Wallace), and eight grandchildren – Justin, Nathan, Gavin, Greydon, Eloise, Isabelle, William, and Madeleine. She has now been reunited with her incredible parents, Stanley and Blanche (Pelland) Osri.
Margit filled our lives with laughter, love, and her unforgettable stories of her world travels. Margit’s passion for adventure knew no bounds. She traveled the globe when she was younger, making life-long friends with people from many countries and leaving a trail of stories that brought smiles to all who heard them. Her eyes sparkled as she recounted her escapades, and she had a joke for every occasion, never failing to brighten our days with laughter.
Margit was an educator and for years helped young children connect with reading. Her students (and even her colleagues) would love hearing her dramatic readings. She also had an immense love for music and dancing and would dance anytime she could.
Heaven is most certainly throwing Margit a party right now, celebrating the life of a truly remarkable woman. We can almost hear the music playing and see her dancing with sheer delight. While we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing she is surrounded by love and joy in Heaven.
Rest in peace, dear Margit. Your adventurous spirit, laughter, and love of dance will forever be in our hearts.
