Margaret Patricia “Pat” Sippel, 90, went home to be with her Lord June 27, 2017. She was born in St. Louis to William and Mary McFarland in 1926. And attended St. Agnes High School and Purdue University, where she joined Delta Gamma sorority. In 1948 she married the love of her life, George R. Sippel, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years and three children together. Pat was a medical secretary for Lingeman, Foster, and Slickmeyer and for Northside Cardiology, before retiring in 1990. Upon retirement she was a volunteer at St. Luke Catholic Church, St Augustine, and Northside Cardiology. She also spent time in a water exercise program at the YMCA, which she lovingly referred to as the “mermaids.” Mrs. Sippel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Lee Fogarty, brother, William McFarland, and sons Greg and Scott Sippel. Survivors include her daughter, Kristine (Steven) Stelzner, daughter-in-law Marie McNelis, grandson, Daniel McNelis, her sister’s children, Michael Fogarty, Terry Fogarty, Tom Fogarty, Linda Fogarty-Therber, and Patrick Fogarty, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Vincent de Paul. Visitation will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Dr. E, Indianapolis, IN 46260, on Friday from 9:30-11:30am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am.
