Margaret L. 'Peg' (Bartholomew) Burres

Margaret L. "Peg" (Bartholomew) Burres, 100, Indianapolis, passed away June 25, 2014. She was born on November 7, 1913 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Otis and Florence (Westphal) Bartholomew. Peg was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a region manager for Field Enterprises for many years before her retirement. Peg was a long-time member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and St. John's United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen W. Burres, Sr., and her son, Stephen W. Burres, Jr. Peg is survived by her son, Warren Burres (Evelyn); her daughter, Margaret A. Burres May (Dennis); her daughter-in-law, Marilyn E. Burres; and 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be on Monday, June 30 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, with visitation from 11 AM until service time.
