Margaret D. Rexroth

September 15, 1930 — September 2, 2013

Margaret D. Rexroth From the loving arms of family into the everlasting arms of Jesus, Margaret Dorothy Rexroth made her final journey home on September 2, 2013. She was born in Fischerhude, Germany on September 15, 1930 to the late Henry and Anna (Ruschmeyer) Waetjen. We all knew her as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and a follower of Jesus who was a Godly woman and prayer warrior. Her family was the main focus of her life though she was also devoted to Christian world missions. She gave Christian books to all whom she knew and even strangers she met; she desired for everyone to love and follow Jesus. She traveled the world, mainly in support of missionaries or doing her own mission work. Margaret always viewed herself as a servant to others and she endeavored to love and serve others in all that she did. Her compassionate nature for others was never-ending and she worked from early morning until late at night to ease others' burdens. Whether a family member, neighbor, a close friend, or even a new acquaintance, Margaret was always there to serve…it was truly her gift. The last words of wisdom that she shared with her gathered family the month before her death were that they should shun material possessions and should instead focus on following Jesus and serving others. She wanted everyone to know and experience the Jesus whom she so loved. She had a continuous and great devotion to her family. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frank A. Rexroth; sons Mark (Cindy) of Carmel, IN, Paul (Susie) of Auburn, IN, David (Susan) of Parker, CO, John (Wendy) of Loveland, CO, Nathan of Burr Ridge, IL and Daniel (Amy) Rexroth of Indianapolis, IN; 20 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother and a host of other family, relatives, and friends. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. in Zionsville Fellowship Church 9090 Indiana 334, Zionsville, IN 46077.
