Margaret Chaney

Margaret M. Chaney of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 23, 1949, to parents, George and Margaret (Deah) Brengle. Margaret was a member of Ritter Baptist Church. She enjoyed staying on the go, whether it be shopping or visiting her favorite restaurant MCL Margaret loved being a Grandma most of all.  She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Margaret married Roy Chaney and they spent many wonderful years together; he preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters, Christina (Stephen) Chaney, Ola (Richard) Chaney-Gilreath; grandchildren, Stephen Jr. Baker, Sheila Gilreath, Richard “RJ” Gilreath, Jayden Baker, Kylie Baker, Dickie Gilreath; two sisters; one brother; three sister in laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; three brothers in laws; one sister sister-in-law.

Visitation will be held from 12pm until 2pm, Friday, December 8, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park (9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, December 8, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. Burial will follow funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
