Margaret Cassel Anderson
99, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013. She was born November 15, 1913 in Scott County, Virginia and grew up in East Tennessee. She was the daughter of James Cassel and Mary Browder Cassel. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, seven brothers (Garland, Howard, William, Charles, Jasper, Elbert, and Henry), two sisters (Ida and Lucille) and her husband of 54 years, Harry W. Anderson. She was a graduate of Dwyer School of Business. She worked for L. Strauss & Company as an assistant of the Millinery Department until she retired in 1952.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Walters (Glen), grandsons, Caleb, Timothy and James Walters, and a large number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Forum at the Crossing for the excellent care they provided to Margaret. They would especially like to thank Theresa, Willie, and Gladys. Also, they would like to thank Seasons Hospice for the care they provided her in recent months.
She was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church. The calling will be on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at East 91st Street Christian Church with the funeral set for 11:00.
