Margaret Ann 'Peggy' Hooten

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Hooten, 85, of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 with her children at her side. Peggy was born November 10, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio. She retired after many years of service from the Lawrence Township School District, and was a Past Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved sports, especially the Colts. But her true passion was her grandkids and all of their activities. She is survived by her son Mark (Frieda) Hooten and his children Renea (Greg), Tonya, Gary; her daughter Pam (D'Wayne) Switzer and her children Ryan, Drew, and Carson; as well as 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years John R. Hooten, as well as parents Harold and Elizabeth Cotterman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
