Margaret Ann (Bowman) Lewis

Ann B. Lewis, 100, of Indianapolis, passed away April23, 2016. Ann was born April 5, 1916 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of William Stuart and Margaret Ann (Barr) Bowman. She was a longtime member of Cumberland First Baptist Church of Cumberland and active in missions. She received her undergraduate and Masters Degree from Butler University and taught Sixth Grade in New Palestine for several years retiring in 1974. She and her husband were members of the Indiana Historical Society.

Ann is survived by herchildren; Margaret Ann Webb of Hudson, WI, Nancy L. Machain (Joe) and Robert B.Lewis (Jane) both of New Palestine, IN; 6 grandchildren, Kathy Davis (Kirk), Susan Carlin, Mike Webb (Kimberly, Pam Cashman (Sean), Slade Lewis (Kristin), and Bart Lewis (Sarah); 11 great-grandchildren, Maddie, Maguire, Sam, Amber, Ashley (Collin), Spencer, Eli, Lily, Nyla, Maxwell and Nolan and 1 great great-grandchild, Oliver. She waspreceded in death by her husband Robert R. Lewis in 2003; brothers, William and John Bowman, her sister, Jean Wiedenhaupt and her son-in-law, Lew Webb.

Visitationwill be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, April 29, 2016 at Flanner andBuchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, where a Funeral Service will be heldat 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016 with Rev. T Wyatt Watkins and Rev. Kevin D. Rose officiating. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorialcontributions may be made to the Cumberland 1st Baptist Church.
