Marcia L. DuMond

Marcia L. DuMond left her earthly body on January 8, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1947 in Elkhart, Indiana to Kenneth & Pearl Meiser. She grew up in Elkhart and was a graduate of Elkhart Central High School. She would attain the Dean’s List at Manchester College and graduated Summa cum laude at the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.

In her career she served as the Assistant General Counsel at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Government Relations manager at Lincoln National Corporation, and would retire as Vice President and General Counsel for First Penn-Pacific Life Insurance Company.

She also served on the Human Rights Commission of Marion County, Member of the Board of Governors of the Government Affairs Society of Indiana and was the Chairwoman of the Legislative Committee of Annuity Investors Life Insurance Companies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George and her daughter Jennifer. She is survived by her son James DuMond and daughter-in-law Karin DuMond of Indianapolis, and her grandchildren Robert Egolf and Megan Egolf of Indianapolis.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 25 at Northview Church of the Brethren 5555 E. 46th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11am to Noon, with the memorial service to follow.
