Marcella M. Troutman, 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on March 18, 2019. She was born March 9, 1927 in Indianapolis to Samuel and Katherine Finch.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Marcella relished in being a stay-at-home mother and wife until she returned to the workforce in 1961. Though she held additional career rolls, she ultimately retired in 1985 from the United States Postal Service where she served 17 faithful years as a much-loved Postal Clerk. Her children remember her as an amazing mother, though she did earn the nickname “The General” because she ran a tight ship. Marcella loved to crochet and go bowling in her younger days, but she mostly loved spending time with her family. Her passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her, she was truly one of a kind.
Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Katherine; sons, Marvin “Buck” Fidler and Michael Fidler; siblings, Raymond Finch, Donald Finch and Shirley Stahl. Surviving to cherish her memory are children, Martin “Bud” (Linda) Fidler, Phyllis Barnett, Nelson (Lisa) Troutman; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
