Marc H. Wagner

Marc Huston Wagner, aged 54, of Westfield, Indiana passed away peacefully on August 15th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 16, 1971, in Muncie, Indiana, and was raised by his mom Christina Hollins and dad Glenn Hollins. Marc lived a life defined by faith, integrity, service, and a steadfast dedication to family and extended family.

From an early age, Marc displayed remarkable determination and curiosity, qualities that guided his path and drove him to lead an amazing life serving his family and community. After graduating from Westfield High School, he went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Journeymen; decorated with a National Defense Service Medal in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Air Force Longevity Service Award,and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Following his military career, Marc achieved a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety with a specialization in Homeland Security, Magna Cum Laude. He furthered his education by achieving a Master of Science in Public Safety, specializing in Public Safety Leadership.

Marc’s professional life was marked by his passion for helping others and commitment to service. Among his many accomplishments, Marc received an award from the City of Noblesville Fire Department for his outstanding service as an emergency dispatcher. Colleagues admired Marc’s expertise, ability to react to emergent situations quickly, and efficiently making a difference in the lives of others in their time of need.

Beyond professional success, Marc dedicated much of his life to service—whether through his military service, as a volunteer firefighter/ EMT, as a softball coach, or husband and father. He believed deeply in selfless service to others, and through countless acts of generosity, he touched many lives. He spent nearly two decades coaching softball for his daughters’ various teams in the Westfield area and umpiring for WYSI. He led with passion and love for the sport of softball and contributed to the growth of young girls in many areas of their lives.

Family was always at the center of Marc's world. He cherished time with his wife Heather and daughters Scotlyn and Avery, instilling values of love, kindness, hard work, and resilience in them. He was a man of God that led with grace and patience. Friends will remember Marc for his warmth, unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, big bear hugs, and a smile that brightened every room. His joyful smile never left him even as he fought a ten month battle with brain cancer.

Marc leaves behind a legacy of achievement, service, and love that will endure for generations. He is preceded in death by his son, Foster Evan Wagner and his father, Glenn Hollins. Marc is survived by his wife of 30 years, Heather Dahlquist-Garramone Wagner, their two daughters, Scotlyn Wagner & Avery Wagner, his mother, Cris Hollins, and his siblings, Scott Wagner (Jessica), Ameria (Devin) Randle, & Michael (Morgan) Wagner, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends who celebrate a life filled with love for others.

A gathering honoring Marc’s life will be held from 9am-12pm on August 22, 2025, at Trader’s Point Christian Church at 1242 West 136th St Carmel, Indiana 46032, with a service following at 12pm. 

Marc will be interred at the National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana at a later date.
