Maralyn D.Barnes, 98 of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday,May 28, 2016 at Lexington Manor Assisted Care Living Facility in PortCharlotte.

Maralyn wasborn to Charles and Lennie Julian on August 4, 1917 in Indianapolis,Indiana. Maralyn was a financial analystat the Army Finance Center in Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the Port Charlotte Churchof Christ. Maralyn was a wonderful womanwho enjoyed life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved andknew her.

Survivorsinclude her son, Norman R. Barnes and his wife Glenda; a daughter-in-law, GayleBarnes; 6 grandchildren, Debra, Betsy Pamela, Jeffery, Corey and Evan; 4great-grandchildren, Megan, Christopher, Jacqueline and Levi; several niecesand nephews including Shirley and Carrie (Mike). She was preceded in death by her lovinghusband, Ray Benton Barnes, her 2 sons, John and Charles Julian Barnes; herstep-brother, Charles Ayers and 4 brothers, Fred, John, Vernon and Leonard.

Funeralservices will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, June 13, 2016 Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Washington Park EastCemetery.
