78, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 10, 2016. Madonna was born on May 30, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN. The oldest of eight children of the late, Martin Ray and Milda Upton (Hodge) Roberts. She worked as a homemaker, raising four children with her husband, Robert Winter, who preceded her in death. She was an active member of the Warren Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 35 years, and had served as President. She also enjoyed making jewelry, playing poker, euchre, bingo and bowling, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Madonna will be lovingly missed by her children: Steven Winter (Tommi), Jeff Winter (Deanna), Douglas Winter (Stephanie) and Kimberly Dean (Tony); grandchildren: Christopher, Sean, Taelyr, Sam, Serena and Haley; siblings: Beverly, Millard, Sally, Sue, Katie, Virginia and Debbie; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 and additionally from 10am until 11am, Thursday, September 15th at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, where funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
