Mable Hicks

Mable F. Hicks, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away November 29, 2011 at her home. She was born July 14, 1930 in Portland, TN, daughter of Hubert L. Sr. and Nettie M. (Gray) Dunn. Mable was a Group Leader at Carson Manufacturing and retired in 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 53 years, Johnnie M. Hicks, July 4, 2000; her brothers, Lloyd Dunn and Hubert Dunn, Jr.; sisters, Jane Kirby and Dora Hilligas. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Turner (Richard) of Indianapolis; sons, Steve Hicks and James Hicks (Martie) of Indianapolis; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Gallagher, Rebecca Turner and Chad Hicks and 8 great-grandchildren, Jacob an Jaxon Gallagher, Victoria and Vanessa Reynolds, Valerie Turner, Will Randall and Elia and Leona Hicks.; her brother, Lynn Dunn (Barbara) of Indianapolis and her sister, Judy Swartz (Larry) of Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Flanner & Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229 with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8pm, Friday, December 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
