Mabel Schaefer

Mabel Lenora (Hendren) Brown Schaefer Indianapolis, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the age of 102. She was born on April 13, 1911 in Aurora, Missouri to David Hendren and Volena England. She was married for 15 years to Dwight North Brown and had three children: Nancy Carolyn Brown Lowe, Lia (Linda) M. Brown Goens and Claudia Lee Brown Wright. Following the death of her first husband, she married Robert M. Schaefer and gained two step children: Susan Mary Schaefer Moritz and Stuart Robert Schaefer. She spent most of her life in Indianapolis, Indiana and Tequesta, Florida. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Maggie Lenora Stauber, her sister, Helen, both husbands and parents. She is survived by her five children, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at MorningSide of College Park, 8810 Colby Boulevard. Memorial contributions may be directed to Riley Children's Foundation.
