Mabel Frances Mcguffey

Mabel Frances McGuffey 94 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on October 17, 2022. She was born in Scottsville, Kentucky on February 5, 1928, to the late Prentice and Aria (Richardson) McIver. She worked for CPC International- Best Foods Division for many years. Mabel enjoyed traveling, cooking, and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Gethsemane General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. Mabel is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth (Richard) Davis, grandchildren, Lucinda Brown, Joseph Davis, Amy Dobben, Rob McGuffey, 11 great grandchildren, and her brother Larry McIver. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Burbon McGuffey, her daughter, Janice Gentry, her son, Gerald McGuffey, her grandson, Jason Blankenship and 16 of her siblings. Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, 4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there from 2:00 pm until the service. She will be laid to rest on Monday, October 31, 2022, 12:00pm (CST) at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Scottsville, Kentucky.
