Lynn Michelle Carns

Lynn Michelle Carns, age 67 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2023.

Lynn was born on August 5, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of Charles and Delores (Staub) Chimento.

She is survived by one daughter: Madisen Carns of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Two sisters: Kim (husband Anthony) Chimento of Greenfield, Indiana and Karla Chimento of Indianapolis, Indiana.

One aunt: Beverly Bless of Greenwood, Indiana.

Nieces and Nephews: Kelli Stogdill, Chip Pence, Kristen Bond, Nick Carns, Austin Day and Lindsey Chimento-Meister.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is also preceded in death by her husband: Douglas Carns who passed away in 2014.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 8115 Oaklandon Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46236.

Her funeral service will follow: Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 12:30 PM also at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Cremation Rites will be accorded following the services.

She will be laid to rest with her husband Douglas Carns at a later date at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Lynn in her younger years greatly enjoyed snow skiing.  She loved to take vacation, especially to the beach and she also loved to go on cruises.  She enjoyed many weekends over the years on their house boat at the lake.  She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for many years.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
