Lynda K. Green

73, of Indianapolis and Naples, FL passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1943 to Ernest B. and Byrdie B. (Barrick) Relford. Lynda met the love of her life, Charles V. Green, while attending Arsenal Technical High School and the two were married in March 1958. They remained married until his death in 1984. Lynda married James R. Hadley in March 2000, after an extended courtship, but their life together was cut short as well when he passed unexpectedly later that year.

Lynda worked as a hairdresser in Indianapolis and Naples for over 45 years. She owned Lana’s Beauty Salon on the near eastside from 1987 until she moved to Florida in 1999. She retired in Florida in 2014. Over the years, Lynda was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Oxford UMC, and Cornerstone UMC in Naples.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, siblings, Vera Workman, Maydell Jackson, Ernest Relford, Dutch Relford, Donna Stevens, Gene Relford, Glen Relford, and Jerry Relford; and her son, Patrick K. Green. She survived by her children, Charles V. Green, Michael D. Green, and Jennifer K. Whitmore (Bill Etienne); 11 grandchildren, Aaron Michael Green (Melissa), Allison Green, Angela (Green) Murphy (Zach), Lauren Green (James Young), Jacqueline Green (Zach Miller), Madison Daniel, Charlie Coffman (Shelby), Patrick Green, Reece Green (Marcie), Joe Coffman (Amanda) and Maggie Green; 8 great-grandchildren, Decklan, Daegan, Kaydance, Jackob, Clara, Tyson, Charlotte, and Cecelia; and one brother, Alan Relford.

Friends may call from 10am until 12pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, where funeral services will immediately follow at 12pm. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
