Lucy Stamatis Forester, 85, Indianapolis, passed away July 28, 2014. She was born on June 27, 1929 in Richmond, KY to James and Mary Bell (Lovett) Alcorn. Lucy was retired after working for Sam's Club, Eisner Foods, and RCA. She was a member of the Red Hat Society (Cacklin' Chicks "Too", Chapter 72092), and enjoyed playing bingo, going to yard sales, gardening, growing flowers, and watching birds. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, James Forester. She is survived by her children, Ronald W. Curd, Sr. (Linda), Sonja Stamatis Andry, and John Thomas Stamatis, all of Indianapolis; her grandchildren, Coleen Moss, Ronald Thomas Curd, Lisa Andry, Ronald W. Curd, Jr., and Lauren Stamatis; and her great-grandchildren, Jeffery Moss, Roxanne Curd, Huntier Rae Curd, Brandon Montgomery, Emily Curd, Katie Ann Curd, Gregory L. Wilson, and Travis Curd; and her loyal canine companion, "Sugar Baby". Services will be on Thursday, July 31 at 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30 from 5-8 PM at the funeral center. Burial will be in Old Oaklandon I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
