Lucille Phillips

Lucille “Lucy” Phillips, age 92 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Thursday night, December 21, 2023.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.

Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.

Following the service, she will be entombed at Washington Park East Cemetery with her husband Vernon Phillips.

Lucille was born on June 3, 1931 in Edinburgh, Indiana, a daughter of James E. and Dora M. (Metcalf) Hasch.

She married Vernon E. Phillips.  He preceded her in death on June 24, 1999.

She is survived by one niece: Laura (husband David Shockley) Justice of Greenwood, Indiana and one nephew: Wayne (wife Kathy) Justice of Martinsville, Indiana. 

Nieces and nephews: Travis, Amanda, John, Jessica and Ken Jr.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband mentioned above, one brother: Roger Hasch, one sister: Jean Justice, and one nephew: Kenneth Justice.

Lucy and Vernon enjoyed fishing and traveling together, as well as spending time with friends and family.

She was a bookkeeper for Western Electric Company and retired from there in 1985.

Lucy was a loving and kind hearted woman to many people over her many years of life.
