Luciean 'Gene' Holt

Gene Holt, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 19, 1931 to Nellie and Jake Holt. He lived in Detroit untill the age of 11, when his family moved to Kentucky. He was there until he turned eighteen and then moved to Indianapolis. He met his wife, Nina, in Indianapolis, and the two were married for fifty-four years. Gene spent most of his years working as an electrician, owning his own business at one point, and later retiring from Edwards Electric in 1997. Gene was very loved by his family and friends, and will be missed greatly. Preceding him in death are his parents and a son; Scott Holt and grandson Sam. Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Nina; children, Sharla Kirby (Gerald), Sheila Cargal (Karl), Starla Bails, Sonia Holt, and Stephanie Holt. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Gerald, Chris, Kyle, Jaime, and Amanda, Jake, Antinette, Tammy and Joyce; and his Great-Grandchildren, Alivia, Caitlyn, Isabella, William, Landen, Tristan, and Andrew.
