Lowell Kilgus 68, of Arcadia passed away on October 19, 2013. Lowell was born on April 26th, 1945 in Sterling IL to Christian and Ruth (Schlough) Kilgus. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Margie Kilgus, daughter Kirsten (Mark) Sidelnyk, son Jeremy (Denise) Kilgus, sister Ruth (Fred) Overdier, brother Walter (Joann) Kilgus, grandchildren Jaymin, Nathan, Samantha and Shane. Lowell is also survived by six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lowell began his career as a high school Physics and Math teacher. He moved on taking a position as an engineer and worked his way up to become the highly-respected president of Mallory Controls in Indianapolis, IN. He was an active participant and faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church. He loved to play golf, especially the day he got a hole in one. He was an amazing builder, helped with Habitat for Humanity Homes, and loved doing building projects with and for his grandchildren. Lowell had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and a true love of animals. . . especially dogs. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 26th, 2013 at Christ Church - The Lutheran Church of Zionsville. (600 North Ford Rd. 46077) beginning at 10:30 am. Memorial contributions in Lowell's honor may be made to Christ Church - The Lutheran Church of Zionsville or The American Heart Association.
