Louise Jansen Betts Born Harriet Louise Jansen, 92, Indianapolis, passed away on October 19, 2013. She was born on September 19, 1921 in Evanston, Illinois. Louise is survived by her daughter, Harriet Westfall (Daniel) and her son, William Betts (Carol); grandchildren, Matthew Westfall (Elizabeth), Nathan Westfall (Natalie), Jonathan Westfall and Erin Betts; step-grandchildren, Clint and Chad Luepke and great-grandchildren, Caleb Westfall, Ayden Westfall, Carter Westfall and Everett Westfall. She is also survived by a sister, Catherine Bowles and seven nieces and nephews. Two brothers, David Jansen and Philip Jansen, preceded her in death. She was a Chi Omega at Marietta College in Ohio, worked in banking in Chicago and at IUPUI in Indianapolis. She did volunteer work much of her life. After her retirement, most of her efforts were at the Indianapolis Zoo and the Civil Town of Speedway. A memorial service will be held on November 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway . Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Speedway Public Library, the Indianapolis Zoo or a charity of the donor's choice.
