Louise Irvine Austin

Louise Irvine Austin, 94, Monticello, Indiana, passed away May 30, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to John T. Irvine and Georgiena L. (Nuerge) Irvine. Louise was a 1947 graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Millersville #300 and Past Queen Daughters of the Nile Koran Temple No. 30 of Indianapolis, Indiana. Louise worked many years as a bookkeeper for Midwest Heating and Cooling. She enjoyed her later years with family and friends at her home on Lake Freeman in Monticello, Indiana.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ed Austin, and great granddaughter, Jeana.

Survivors include her children, twin sons, Theodore “Ted” (wife Marsha) Austin and Thomas, “Tom” (wife Cathy) Austin, grandsons Blair (Brynn), Drew, and Jaron (Emily), great grandsons, Charlie, Barrett, and Finn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Murat Shrine, 510 N New Jersey St. Indianapolis, IN 46204.

A graveside service will be held Friday June 21, 2024, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, at 11:00 am.
