Louis Stephanoff

Louis John Stephanoff 91, Indianapolis, passed away January 31, 2013. He was born June 24, 1921, in Indianapolis, the son of the late John and Fota (Vasiloff) Stephanoff. Louis graduated from Purdue University with his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the United States Air Force in World War II. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and the American Legion. He is survived by his children, Bruce Wiley (Lori) Stephanoff and Sally Stuart Stansberry; grandchildren, Jamie Stuart (George) Hoyt, Charles Wesley Stephanoff, Christopher John Stephanoff; great grandchildren, Henry Arthur Hoyt and Hannah Renee Hoyt; and special friend, Lois Gibson. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Mary Stuart Stephanoff, and a brother, Don and two sisters, Janet and Olga. Memorial services will be at 11:00am, Monday, February 4, 2013, at Crown Hill Cemetery in the Gothic Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Second Presbyterian Church.
