Louis Shields

Brother Louis Shields 76, entered his earthly life on October 20, 1935 in Proctor, Arkansas and went home to be with his Lord and Savior in his eternal life on October 19, 2012. He was born to William Shields and Lillie Mae (Wilson) Shields-Pops. Louis moved to Indianapolis in 1950 and attended Mount Vernon Baptist Church and later united with Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in 1998. Louis work at the Bag Factory then began working for W.T. Martin Construction for 34 years where he was a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for Kirkoff Mechanical as a plumber and a machine operator for 16 years. He then started work for Commercial Air Inc. for 2 and a half years until he became ill. Louis was also a member of the Brotherhood of Landscaping Ministry and when he was not working his passion was fishing and his church. Louis leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife after 34 years Rosa Lee (Jones) Shields, his two loving sons Michael Shields and Randall (Charliotte) Shields, two step sons Gordon (Monica) Armor and Malcolm (Alaver) Armor and a step daughter Marie (Terry) Crittenden. He is also survived by a host of adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren family and friends who will miss him dearly.
