Louis Kalias

Louis Kalias 82 of Carmel, IN died January 23, 2012. Louis was born on June 19, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio to Peter and Catherine (Ekonomakos) Kalias. Louis served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Butler University and Indiana University School of Law. Louis was a lawyer for the Internal Revenue Service, Director of the Indiana Estate and Gift Tax Division. Then after retirement he became a business owner of 101 West Ohio News. Louis was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, a devoted father, grandfather and husband he is survived by his wife Joan J. (Cappas) Kalias, two loving daughters Karen (Matt) Albean and Stella (Desi) Zondervan and his beloved granddaughters Zoe and Ellen Albean and Sophia and Lydia Katsaropoulos. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 28, 2012 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 3500 West 106th Street Carmel, IN with calling one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sunrise on Old Meridian for the compassionate care they have given to Louis. Memorial contributions may be given to the church. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery Fishers, IN. Flanner and Buchanan- Carmel are handling funeral arrangements.
