Louis "Gene" Exley, 98, Indianapolis, passed away December 1, 2013. He was born June 6, 1915, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Louis W. and Cora Z. (Bassinger) Exley. He married Allie (Speitel) Exley, who preceded him in passing in 2003.
Gene retired as a pharmacist from Haag Drug Company. He was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church. He enjoyed music and being outdoors, but his greatest enjoyment was being with his family.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Kay) Exley, Sandra Adonna Exley, and Linda L. Exley; one grandchild, Ryan Exley; and three great grandchildren, Cory, Avery, and Gavin. He was preceded in death by a grandson, James Exley.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
