Louis Clark

Louis Erwin Clark, 85 of Zionsville, IN. passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 7, 2014. Louis was born in Proctor, W.Va., the only child of Opal (Finch) and Walter Clark. He lived with his parents and grandparents. He was a 1947 graduate from Clay-Battelle High School in Blacksville, W.Va., where he played on the football team and also played in the marching band. He attended West Virginia University, and Fairmont State in W. Va., here he studied Electrical Engineering In 1949 he married his high school sweetheart, Joanna Corwin, of Blacksville, W.Va. and later moved to Howell, Michigan. He worked as an electrician for Howell Electric Co. as a lineman. He later worked for Walter Parks Electric Co of Howell, as an electrical estimator. When that position ended he advanced himself and became employed at Dunn Electric, out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, also as an estimator, while attending Michigan State University. Mr. Clark was a Boy Scout Leader in Howell, Michigan for many years, where the troop enjoyed many trips. Mr. Clark was a active member of the First Baptist Church in Howell, until his employment transferred him to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1972. He was then employed by the Watson-Flagg Electric Co. (a Fishbach and Moore Electric co.); where he later became the vice president for most of his career. He was also employed by Shambaugh & Son, Inc. electric co. and Miller-Ed Electric co. all of Indianapolis. He retired to care for his parents in their later years. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Dortha and Wilf Finch. His parents Opal (Finch) and Walter Clark, all of Proctor West Virginia. Surviving are his wife, Joanna (Corwin) Clark of Zionsville, IN., a retired educator of Pike Township Schools, son Bradley (Cheryl) Clark of Howell Michigan, retired from GM, daughter Debra (Bryan) Clark Eller of Indianapolis, IN., employed at Pike Township Schools, son Douglas (Stephanie) of Ft. Wayne, IN., employed at Shambaugh & Son, Inc of Ft. Wayne. Niece, Kathy (Tom) Anderson Vlasik (who he raised as his own after her mother passed) Cleveland, OH, retired. Grandchildren survive Mr. Clark; Darold (Anne) Joseph Lieberman of Gladwin, Michigan, great grandson, Jacob Lieberman Douglas Truman Lieberman of Danville, Indiana, great grandson Anthony Lieberman Nelson David Ian Lieberman of Indianapolis, IN., great grandson Reagan Lieberman Amy Clark – Ft. Wayne, IN. Jessica Clark – Albuquerque, New Mexico. Adam (Lisa) Clark of Brighton, Great grandsons Gabrielle and Brendon Clark Joanna (Ryan) Clark Adams – Brighton, Michigan, great granddaughter, Rylee Adams. Many friends and neighbors. The funeral services will be held at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral center of Zionsville, IN. Located at 105 W. Pine St. Zionsville, IN. Visitation services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 10:00AM – 12:00 PM with the funeral immediately following. Burial will be at the Eagle Creek Cemetery located on Little Eagle Creek Ave. Zionsville, IN. You are invited to go to the Guest Book page to pass along your personal message or tell a story.
