Louie Shelburne

Louie E. Shelburne, 91 of Zionsville, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. He was a life-long Zionsville resident. Louie graduated from Zionsville High School where he was a starter on the basketball team all four years. Louie was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for over 40 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Louie loved his family, IU basketball, and American History. Private services will be held on Thursday, February 26 at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. Louie is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eileen; daughters, Tanay Rector and Denise (husband, Robert) Hooker; grandchildren, Emily (husband, Kevin) Gardner and Aaron (wife, Courtney) Rector and Jennifer Schwartz; great granddaughter, Helen Gardner. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.
