Lorraine Dodson-Gater

Lorraine Dodson-Gater was born July 12, 1955 to Maggie Ruth and Lenzy Dodson in Youngstown, OH. She graduated from Girard High School, and earned a BBA from Indiana Wesleyan and a Master’s of Science Degree from Indiana Wesleyan. Lorraine was a fifty year and a Golden Life Member of Delta Signa Theta Sorority. She married Daryl Gater of Youngstown, OH in September of 1986. They moved to Indianapolis that same year. She joined Eastern Star soon after moving to Indianapolis. She was a faithful and active member of New Horizons Church. She worked in various managerial positions in the Indianapolis area. Lorraine Dodson-Gater passed on September 20, 2026 at the age of seventy-one. She was preceded in death by her husband Daryl Gater, and her parents Lenzy and Maggie Ruth Dodson. She leaves to cherish her memory a twin brother, Lonnie (Lynn) Dodson of Massillon, OH; a brother Ernest (Dorothy) Dodson of Butler, PA; a niece Dionne Dodson of New York, NY; and a host of cousins and friends.
