Lorraine Birk

Lorriane M. Birk, 75, Indianapolis, passed away March 20, 2012. She was born July 5, 1936 in Holcombe, Wisconsin. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Linda (Howard) Hail, and her son Van (Sheila) Birk; grandchildren Steve Featherston, Bruce Hail, Jeff Hail, Pam Ping, Mark Hail, Lisa Flowers, Angie McTarsney, Mike Cartwright, Cameron Hail, Christopher Birk, Benjamin Birk, Johnathon Birk, Lisa Birk, Tiffany Palacios, Jennifer Lammert, and Fred Lammert III. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Birk, and her son, Brian Birk. Lorraine was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, baking, board games, and a good game of cards. She was active in the neighborhood crime watch, and Public School 81 PTA. She was a caring and loving individual with a sense of humor and strong will and determination. Services will be on Friday, March 23 at 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (located on the grounds of Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, with calling there on Friday from 12 PM until service time.
