Lonnie Gene Frauhiger

Lonnie G. Frauhiger passed into eternal life October 29, 2011. He fought a rare cancer with stoicism and grace for 3 years with his beloved wife Melanie at his side throughout his illness. Lonnie was born November 15, 1947 to Herbert and Lucile Frauhiger in Bluffton, In. His mother survives him. He is also survived by five children; Lisa Smith, Ryan (Rusty) Frauhiger, Farah (Matt) Swaim, Zach and Dylan Frauhiger, stepchildren Greg (Lisa) Falahee and Ashley (Fiancé Tyson Harvon) Falahee. Nine grandchildren, a brother Les (Ann) Frauhiger and a sister Bev (Steve) Miner also survive him. Lonnie retired as Executive Vice President from Union Federal Bank in 2002 after more than 30 years in the banking industry. He enjoyed spending time at his farm, in his workshop and vacationing with his wife. Lonnie treasured the times spent with his family. He will be lovingly remembered for his beautiful smile, grand sense of humor and sharing his wisdom mentoring friends and family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers-Carmel; where friends and family are invited to gather from 1 pm until time of services.
