Lois Norwalk

Lois E. Norwalk of Carmel, IN, passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 96. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on January 26, 1927, to parents, Ford and Pearl (Fisher) Freers. She graduated from Southport High School in 1944. Lois worked at Eli Lily after high school. Lois also worked in retail, and was a volunteer at Community Hospital East for over 20 years. She enjoyed visiting Florida, Gatlinburg, and England, loved IU, was a great bridge player, and an avid reader. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Lois married Bruce Norwalk on September 2, 1950. They spent over 61 wonderful years together; he preceded her in death in 2011. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Dave) Dillon, Barbara (Steven) Dauby; 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Teddy) Lewis, Amanda (Chris) Conway, Matt Dauby, Samantha (Dean) Kennison, Blake Dauby, Mark Dillon and Kristin Dillon, and 7 great grandchildren. and sister: Celia Paynter and brother: David Freers.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ford and Pearl Freers.
