Lois A. Hathcoat, 90, of Noblesville passed away, surrounded by her family, on June 11, 2024. She was born September 6, 1933 in Middletown, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Sowers) McNeil. She married Robert “Bob” Hathcoat, who preceded her passing on August 30, 2005, after 52 years of marriage.
After Lois graduated from Middletown High School in 1951, she worked for Guide Lamp Division, then spent several years working at Standard Grocery Store and lastly, alongside her late husband, Bob, at State Farm.
After retiring, Lois and Bob spent many years in Land O’Lakes, Florida. They enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and sunny days at the beach.
Lois leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. She always thought of others and was known for keeping tabs on those she loved; whether it be a simple card, phone call, or pulling out goodies from her purse for her grandchildren. Lois was always doing kind gestures for others. She cared deeply for her family and friends. Lois had a generous heart and a warmth that touched everyone.
She is survived by two children, Linda (Art) Huffman and Dan (Lisa) Hathcoat; five grandchildren, Heidi, Chris, Melissa, Ryan, Samantha, and Tyler; three great grandchildren, Tiara, Haley, and Kinlee; and two brothers, Don (Martha) McNeil and John (Wilma) McNeil. She was preceded in passing by a daughter, Sandra Jones; and two brothers, Bob McNeil and Jim McNeil.
