Lois Darlene Coss 82 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away February 9, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1941, in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Earnest and Alice (Spelts) Taylor. Lois was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and worked 22 years at Westview Hospital as Cook. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her sisters, pottery making, sewing, crocheting, and watching the Hallmark and Lifetime Channels on TV. Lois was a servant of God and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church. Lois was the true Matriarch of the family and her love for her family was endless. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Lois is survived by her children, Ernest Coss, Jason (Kathy) Coss, Doug (Shelley) Coss, her grandchildren, Sarah Coss, Westley Coss, Codey Coss, Corena Denny, Morgan Hibbard, Kendall Coss, Nathan Coss, Miranda Coss, 13 great grandchildren, and her sister, Rita Taylor. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Larry Coss, and her sister, Bonnie Allen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Brother Harold Sullivan will officiate the service. Lois will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana, following the service.
