MOM

May 18, 2024

Mom died today,

with her three sons and wives

and two close friends by her side.

A life lived long,

nearly a 104.

She loved all

and all loved her.

A great big heart went up to heaven today.

Sister to 3,

mother to 3,

grandmother to many,

great grandmother to many more.

A non-stop filterer.

A dragonfly across the lake,

a hummingbird at a feeder,

a beautiful butterfly visiting many flowers,

a busy bee gathering honey,

sweet and loving.

Memories of goodness,

memories of fun,

memories of kisses, gentle backrubs and “hugs around the neck”.

 A life well lived.

 A fisher woman,

a golfer woman,

a rummy cube player,

a Domino expert,

a crocheter of things (who knows what they were?)

a saver of pictures old and new.

Will be missed by all of us,

here on earth.

Resting now with Jesus,

but soon, I'm sure,

she will flitter to the edges of heaven and back.

Son Bill.
