Obituary

Lisa Vonzel Wise, daughter of the late Lue Doris Wise and Clarence Stevens was born June 9, 1973, in Greenwood Mississippi. She was the eldest of their children.

Growing up Lisa enjoyed going to church on Sunday and having bible study with her family. She loved spending time with family playing kickball in the backyard and red light green light on the front porch. Her biggest joy came from serving the Lord. Lisa loved visiting with her grandmother when she could. She never left home so she was always with her mother by her side. She truly just loved everyone and everyone loved her. Lisa loved to eat. She enjoyed a good home-cooked meal for dinner, but for breakfast and lunch, she had to have two grilled cheese sandwiches and a cup of coffee to get her day going while watching her favorite morning talk shows and studying the bible.

Lisa received her education and graduated from George Washington High School in 1991. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She joined New Life Community Church in the late 80’s guided by Pastor Sylvia Tony. She remained a member until her illness kept her from being able to attend service. Lisa worked in the service industry as a greeter at Olive Garden and then as a cashier at Value Village.

Lisa departed this life on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 50. She is preceded in death by her mother and grandmother. Lisa leaves behind to cherish her memory brothers Dwight  Wise (Andrea) and Demarcus  Scorza (Nicole), sister,  Starlet Person Oliver (Aaron), aunts Sheila Wise and Cynthia Wise, uncle, Anthony Wise (Gala), and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Lisa Vonzel Wise will be truly missed.
