Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and daughter; Lisa passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends after a long and hard fight against cancer.
Lisa is survived by her husband Tim and their 3 children: Brandon, Tyler, and Kara, her parents Loren & Nancy Henry, sister Suzanne Taggart (Andrew and their son William), mother-in-law Marlene Koers, along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving father-in-law, John F. Koers Sr., and her creative Aunt Alice.
Lisa was known for her happy, positive outlook on life. She always looked on the bright side of things, even through the last year’s difficulty with her health. She continued to always put other people first and never once complained, no matter the challenge. She was determined to fight to be here with her family as long as possible, and showed amazing resilience and strength, even lifting up her family during trying times.
Her number one priority was always her family and friends. The kids activities; including Brandon’s musical/band endeavors, Tyler’s sports, and Kara’s ballet/dancing. No matter how she felt, she was there for her family and showed love and support for all. She always encouraged her kids to live their lives and pursue their dreams to the fullest extent possible.
She loved her husband Tim, and together the two of them set an example for all, of a caring and selfless love and devotion.
Evidenced by her broad network of friends and family, Lisa was passionate about children and always strived to do all she could to enrich their lives. This led her to a career in education and counseling. To honor this, we ask that if you would like to make a memorial contribution aside from flowers, please consider giving to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to honor her life and devotion for all.
